Is a 200W solar panel enough for camping?

Weekend trips with fridges, lights, and gadgets drain batteries fast. Small solar panels struggle to keep up, while larger ones take too much space. A 200W setup sounds like a middle ground, but can it power essential camping gear comfortably without extra storage batteries?

If you’re planning small-scale power for a camper, a 200 watt flexible solar panel is honestly the sweet spot. It fits curved surfaces easily and saves the weight of rigid frames. I’ve used mine for over a year — no cracks, no delamination. The key is using high-quality adhesive and leaving airflow beneath so it doesn’t overheat. On clear days, it powers the lights and fridge simultaneously without issue. It won’t run an AC unit, but for off-grid essentials it’s efficient and nearly maintenance-free.
