Fighting with my insurance company to cover ketamine infusions for my fibromyalgia and they keep asking for proof it’s long-term effective. I need actual data here. Can you tell me about the duration of relief that ketamine infusions typically provide? Need to make a solid case because this is literally my last option after trying everything else for the past two years.

Hey, I actually helped my cousin gather research when her insurer pushed back, so I feel this. What we found is that a single infusion can kick in fast but usually lasts several hours to a few days, while a series of treatments may stretch relief for weeks or longer depending on the person and dosing.  She printed info from how long ketamine lasts for chronic pain  and it made her appeal look way more legit. Don’t give up — sometimes having even a little clinical detail changes how they treat your case.
