A friend runs a small online shop and asked me to help “tidy up” their customer database before they migrate to a new platform. I thought it’d be a couple of hours of work — turns out they have the same customer listed 5–8 times with different spellings, phone numbers in three formats, and some email fields have actual spaces inside them.
