I recently found out that when other people say “picture an apple in your head,” they can actually, literally see a 3D red apple behind their eyelids. For my entire life, I thought “visualizing” was just a metaphor. When I close my eyes, it is just pitch black, though I can describe what an apple is conceptually. Is this normal, or is there a name for this condition?
Is anyone else here completely unable to visualize things in their mind? |
