Hi everyone, I’m currently trying to find a trustworthy oncology surgeon for a family member who’s been advised to have surgery as part of their cancer treatment. This is a critical decision for us, and we want to make sure we choose someone experienced, communicative, and compassionate—especially when it comes to explaining the procedure, risks, benefits, and recovery expectations in a clear and reassuring way.
We’re open to surgeons who specialize in areas like breast, gastrointestinal, head and neck, or soft tissue tumors, and ideally someone who works within a multidisciplinary cancer team so the surgical plan fits well with other treatments like chemotherapy or radiation. If you’ve had direct experience with an oncology surgeon—either for yourself or a loved one—could you please share the doctor’s name, hospital affiliation, and what stood out about their skills and patient care? Any honest feedback on pre-op support, surgical outcomes, and post-op communication would be really appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your suggestions!
