What’s your backup strategy for paid 3D models you’ve bought? Do you trust the platform to keep them available forever, or do you download and store everything locally?

I learned this the hard way after a storefront went offline overnight and I lost access to several paid models I hadn’t downloaded. Now I always grab the ZIP files right after purchase and keep a copy on an external hard drive plus a backup on cloud storage like Google Drive. For my cool 3d printing projects I even organize everything by genre and print status so I can find the files years later without hunting through emails. Platforms might promise lifetime access but servers get sold, companies pivot, or terms change. If you bought it, treat it like a physical product you need to store yourself. Download once, back up twice, and you will never feel that panic of a dead link when you are finally ready to hit print.
