my moms 50th bday party is next weekend and i lowkey want to look amazing bc there’s gonna be a ton of photos taken… i saw my friends lashes the other day and she said she did them herself using individual extensions at home?? they looked SO good and not like heavy strip lashes at all. but im literally a total noob at this and super scared ill glue my eyelids together lol. is it actually possible to learn how to map them out in a week or should i just give up and use regular mascara??

It is definitely possible to learn in a week, you just need to practice once or twice before the actual event! I started doing my own individuals last year because I was tired of mascara smudging during long parties. My biggest tip is to give yourself at least an hour for the first try, use good lighting, and place them slightly away from your lash line so they don’t irritate your eyes. Once you get the placement down, they look beautiful and stay flawless the entire night.

omg girl DO IT!!! mascara is so boring for big events anyway… i completely stopped using it after i discovered these https://stacylash.com/collections/individual-eyelash-extensions bc they are LITERALLY a game changer. they are super soft and the base is so thin that it’s incredibly easy to attach them even if your hands are shaking a bit… they look totally natural but still give you that perfect volume for photos. just get a decent lash bond, start from the outer corners, and you will look stunning… good luck!!

If you’re completely new to individual lash extensions, it is possible to learn the basics within a week, but the key is keeping it very simple and practicing a few times before the event. Start with lightweight clusters rather than full professional-style extensions, and always do a patch test first so you’re comfortable with the glue.

For beginners, less is usually more — focus on enhancing your natural eye shape instead of trying to create a full glam look on the first attempt. If it feels stressful, a good mascara with a lash-curler combo can actually give a cleaner and safer result for photos.

I’ve also seen similar beauty discussions on Dubaiweb where users shared that at-home lash applications can work well once you get used to the technique, but rushing it for an event often leads to uneven results.
