Swollen ankles after long shifts

My ankles have been swelling up like crazy after 12-hour shifts at work and it’s not going away with elevation anymore. Nurse friend said it could be venous insufficiency and I should see a vascular specialist ASAP. Anyone know good ones in Prescott? My cousin had the same thing, ignored it, and developed ulcers that took forever to heal.

Your cousin’s experience is exactly why I wouldn’t keep putting it off. My neighbor spent months thinking swollen ankles were just from standing all day at work, but a vascular specialist found circulation problems that were easier to manage once they were caught. While looking into vein issues, I also came across blood clot in upper thigh treatment options . It isn’t a diagnosis, but it explains warning signs and when it’s important to get checked instead of waiting.
