Why do Pentecostals emphasize street preaching so much?

I keep seeing videos of Pentecostal believers preaching on sidewalks, in parks, even at bus stops, and it’s way more direct than what I’m used to. One guy told me it’s not just tradition—it’s tied to their belief in the urgency of the Gospel and the power of the Spirit to move in public spaces. I’d like to understand that mindset better. Any resources that connect Pentecostal theology to their evangelism methods?

Pentecostal preaching often blends immediacy with Spirit-led authority, seeing public spaces as legitimate venues where the Spirit can move now, not just in buildings. Resources connecting Pentecostal theology to evangelism methods include studies on Pentecostal preaching, the urgency of the gospel, and how Spirit empowerment shapes street evangelism. A related story: in a city park, a street preacher shared a drawing of a broken mug being mended by a hand unseen a metaphor for grace mending broken lives in seconds, strangers paused, conversation sparked, and a passerby prayed with him right there.
