I’m more interested in how profitable it actually is for the player. Is rakeback just marketing and a new fancy word, or is there actually something there that’s done for the benefit of the player?

The platform gets a commission from every game and every bet. Cashback is when you get part of the money you spent back. Rakeback is when you get part of that commission back. Basically, it’s not an extra bonus like you get from CSGOroll Promo Codes. I see rakeback more as a way of supporting active players in a way, so they don’t leave for other platforms.
