I think regular practice can definitely make memory exercises feel easier, especially when you gradually increase the difficulty. I prefer short sessions because they’re easier to keep up with than long workouts. Repetition also helps you discover which techniques work for you personally. For example, grouping information or creating associations can make certain things easier to recall. I wouldn’t expect dramatic changes overnight, though. Memory is affected by several things, including attention, sleep, stress, and how meaningful the information is. A consistent routine seems more useful to me than trying to memorize a huge amount of information occasionally.
